Refit Your Seat & Enjoy
Place the bidet on the bowl, refit your seat over the top, turn the water back on and adjust the dial.
The Original uses unheated mains water, which most people find refreshing. If you'd rather never feel a cold splash, the Full Seat Bidet heats the water in a built-in tank and adds a heated seat and warm-air dryer.
It works well, however as the connection is non standard thread and sizing for Australia so I had to rig up an alternative connection for our toilet as it did not have an external pipe exposed. We also had to drill holes into the semi circular holding components as the connection points were wider than the design allowed.
Was not a straight forward fit as the ‘flange’ covering the water inlet from the tank could not be fitted back in after the installation. Pic 2 shows the issue. However the unit works as described and is easy to operate without leaks.
As I live in a cold area, I attached a 10L tank heater to the Hygienex which truly completed the installation. My family has been very pleased at how effective the unit is and how easily it fit's on the toliet. We are not considering a second one.
Was sceptical at first but wife has always wanted one so I bought it. It works perfectly and I'm glad I got it. Installatiin was easy and too around 15 minutes. My wife lives it!
Fitment is a very simple process. The unit is better suited to larger toilet bowels with a larger flat back but it does fit mine ok and works as it should.
Functionality is a learning process with direction and pressure but a bit of practice and it is washing clean quickly.
It works well, but I thought it would have a self cleaning part. I already have bought a second one for the second toilet but need to buy another flexiable hose line to install it which I needed for the one already installed
Easy to install and works great. Due to the one size fits all it is exposed when seat is down. Which affects aesthetics slightly. That said great alternative to the highly priced versions and good for one sided wall fitted toilets with no gap behind them.
Great experience, good customer service, I love the bidet. Even my husband uses it!!!! Never thought I'd see the day. It works well, was easy to install, and pooping has taken on a new dimension in our house. I recommend it for everyone.
Installation was easy, and so far working well. Only improvment i would recommend is to provide extra sticky taps for the blocks that go under the seat. One of mine came of next morning and its not sticking any more.
The Original Bidet 2.0 has a universal design that fits 95% of toilets. When you take the seat off, your toilet should have two exposed screw holes on the rim. If it does, the bidet sits on the rim and adjusts to size. Not sure? Use the compatibility checker above or email us a photo.
The lever can only be on the right-hand side when installed (when you're seated facing out). The unit isn't reversible.
No. It connects directly to your water supply, so it uses clean, fresh water before it ever reaches the toilet bowl.
It's an attachment, not a replacement seat. It installs under your current toilet seat, so your bathroom looks the same, just much cleaner. Want a heated smart seat instead? See the Full Seat Bidet.
Not at all. Installation takes about 10 minutes and everything you need is included.
No. It's 100% water-powered using your existing water line. No electricity, batteries or wiring.
Yes. The lever controls the pressure, from a gentle rinse to a more powerful clean.
Yes. It uses fresh water straight from your water line, unheated. Most people find it refreshing, and you can adjust the pressure for comfort. Prefer a warm wash? The Full Seat Bidet heats the water, with room temperature or three warm settings.
The Hygienex® Original Bidet 2.0, a braided metal hose, a T-valve, 2 adjustable plates and 3 toilet bumpers.
Plumbing regulations vary by region. In Australia and New Zealand, installing a bidet may require additional backflow prevention devices or professional installation to comply with local plumbing standards. Make sure your setup has an accessible water connection (such as a hose or tap feeding the cistern), and if you're unsure, consult a qualified plumber. By purchasing, you acknowledge that installation must be carried out in accordance with local regulations and standards.
